What is your role at Daedalus?

I am a Designer, my role has me designing digital and physical interfaces for medical and safety equipment. At Daedalus I have done everything from graphic logo work to user experience design of giant databases.

Chris Donadio portraitWhat’s your day-to-day like at Daedalus?

I get in to work in the morning, check emails, get coffee in the kitchen, usually chat a bit with whoever is in the kitchen, and then work at my desk on current projects. Most of my work is done at my desk, except some meetings and phone calls throughout the week.

… and how has this changed with WFH (Working From Home)?

It has not changed too much for me! Obviously I am not able to be face-to-face with my coworkers, but my work process is still the same.

Where is your home office?

My home office is a room in the back of my house. In it I have my work desk, some cabinets, a bookshelf, and a bunch of plants! This was my primary workspace when I worked as a freelance designer before joining Daedalus.

What is your favorite part about your WFH setup?

My setup gets a lot of sunlight, which is great. Also, I really like the commute!

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

Sometimes I get interrupted by my dogs, but they are pretty chill during the day.

Any helpful WFH tips?

I’ve kept my normal routine of getting dressed and ready for work before starting. It’s weird, but it helps me stay focussed.
